City Look

Last week I went to visit my sister in New York City.

We walked around, shopped and ate.

My favorite activities :D

I wanted to go simple for my day in the city

and of course not look like I was trying to hard.

When going to NYC you have to look like you belong

so I tried my best lol

As you can see I didn't go too heavy on the makeup

or hair. Just down and straight was perfect for my outfit

For my eyes I believe I used Ricepaper, Paradisco, Sable and maybe one other shadow

I wore Fun & Games beauty powder blush

with Cheeky Bronze MSF

I opted for my favorite lip combo of all time

Shy Girl l/s with Parfait Pink creamsheen glass on top

I opted for this super cute maxi dress and gladiator sandals.

Obviously my summer staples

This was so comfortable to walk around in

and perfect for trying on clothes because you can slip right out of it

Also for a finishing touch I added this 

adorable necklace from Forever21

My Traincase and FOTD

A few weeks ago my mom told me that I would need something

to hold all my makeup when I get to school.

Naturally I jumped on that chance and quickly ordered

this pink crocodile skin traincase from yazmo.com

It's a pretty good size and is the perfect size for traveling

and fitting the makeup I'm taking with me to school.

How adorable is this? I'm in love with the outside because

it's a little crazy but not too out there.

This is a picture of the drawers fully extended.

As you can see it's pretty filled but there's definitely room

for plenty of more items.

In the top row i keep all my MSF's and my bronzers. 

In the upper right corner there are my eye primers

i.e. my Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Paint Pots, Paints, NYX pencils

On the lower row are all my lipsticks and lipglosses

There are a few layers there- I was able to fit around 25 lipsticks

on only the left side.

In the bottom compartment I keep my LE blushes that I haven't depotted

On the upper right are a few foundations, Strobe Liquid, Fix+, and my face primers

On the bottom left are all my palettes and to the right are my most used pigments & samples.

There's a middle layer not pictured that holds

all of my mascaras, eye & lip pencils, concealers and other fun samples.

I also wanted to include some fun pics in this post.

Here's some pictures of my sister's makeup I did for her one night

It ended up looking really cool and serpent-like 

I used Rated R eyeshadow on the inner corners and then applied

One-Off on the outer corner over a black base

Super simple  but the result was pretty awesome

Purple Peaches <3

So I have a confession to make...

I am completely obsessed with purple.

Now this just recently dawned upon me one day when

a friend of mine mentioned how everything I wear is purple

Naturally I went into my closet that night and noticed just how mush purple I had

So I guess subconsciously I have been collecting everything purple

even my first makeup palette was filled with purple shadows

Of course once someone requested a purple look I jumped 

on that opportunity right away.

For this look I used MAC's Paradisco in the inner corners 

and on the lower lash line

Then I packed on MAC's Beautiful Iris all over the lid

MAC's Parfait Amour was then swept into my crease

and finally I put MAC's Nocturnelle in the outer corner

I used Style Blush to keep with the peach elements

For the lips I used MAC's Plum Dandy l/s 

and Vie Vento Dazzleglass on top 

Does anyone else has a subconscious color that they are drawn to?

Adventures of Kim and Christine

So last night my sister (Kim) and I rushed home from

T.G.I. Fridays in order to play with our makeup.

Naturally as soon as we set up our power went out :(

It's okayy though because since it was still light out 

we were able to hit the outside and do our nails <3

An hour (and many candles) later our lights reappeared!

So we let the playing commence 

Here's a picture of Kim's fire and water look.

For the fire I believe she used Samoa Silk e/s and her coastal scent 78 palette

For the water look there was definitely a lot of colors going on there...

fashion e/s, smoke & diamonds e/s, carbon, arctic grey e/s, and a lot i can't recall

but i love the way they both turned out!

For my makeup I decided to play around with some wet pigments

I used MUFE Star Powder #944 and Old Gold Pigment

I then used smoke & diamonds to smoke it out a bit

This was some more playing. I wanted to take different colors and make them look good together

Here is Electric Coral pigment, samoa silk, one-off, and rater "r"

This is the color I decided to go with for my nails

It's China Glaze's For Audrey 

(been wanting this FOREVER and highly recommend it because it goes on like a dream)

Colour Craft/Love That Look/Sephora Haul

I've Been a Bad Girl: Confessions of a MAC Haul

Ugh so for months I knew that the MAC Colour Craft 

collection was going to dent my wallet- esp. considering

each MSF (Mineralized Skinfinish) is between $27-28 a pop.

Well naturally I saved up just enough for what I wanted...

and then I found out about Love That Look collection

"Oh Boy" is all I can say

Luckily I was able to keep on a pretty solid budget

and got only what I had been wanting for months

(no throwing around money this time :P)

Let's first start off with the three MSF's I bought:

My favorite MSF that I bought was Cheeky Bronze

The color is a deep coral and has gorgeous gold

marbling running through it

This is a perfect multipurpose color

I use it as a highlight, blush, eyeshadow, you name it

My next purchase was a repromote from

last year's MSF collection

Porcelain Pink is a pretty pink with gold veining

It's as if Cheeky Bronze had

a little, cute sister- kind of like how I am in my family :)

I mainly only use this for highlighting 

If that's what your looking for then this is perfect for you

The last MSF I bought was Sunny By Nature

This has quickly jumped into my back pocket

and has become my go-to bronzer

It's a nice matte bronze with a pink pearl to it 

If you already have a bronzer/blush duo

then I would skip this one

If not, this is still a great purchase

Then came Graphic Garden...

I must preface this post with the fact that

I never had any intention of buying from this

collection... it just sorta happened

I picked up the Fresh Cut palette and

with colors like these could you blame me?

Floral Inc. - (Frost)

Bloomcycle - (Veluxe Pearl)

Sun-Shy - (Lustre)

Fresh Cut - (Veluxe Pearl)

Poppy Noir - (Velvet)

Part Peony - (Lustre)

The colors are relatively sheer (normally not my thing)

however it works with this palette

and the colors really come out 

beautiful on the eye

One of my favorite purchases this summer!

Finally Love That Look

So all these eyeshadows in this collection 

are of the Starflash formula.

This isn't a permanent formula but MAC

released a similar collection last year.

Starflash is an extremely silky and creamy formula

with a pearl finish. 

It glides on the eye and makes any look completely effortless.

Glamour Check!

this color is a reddish-brown and literally goes

on the lid like melted chocolate (looks like it too Mmmmm...)

Fashion

this color is a pretty soft blue/silver

seriously this all over the lid with Carbon to smoke it out= Heaven

Rated "R"

Ah a nice crazy color... so refreshing for me.

On the lid this looks amazing and is surprisingly easy to pull off

(at least a lot easier that Bitter eyeshadow is)

One-Off

A gorgeous forest green with a silver pearl

i'm thinking this and Glamour Check! paired together for the fall

And last but certainly not least....

Smoke and Diamonds

this will definitely be the most popular in

the collection so I would get this quickly.

It's awesome because this can go with any color you pair it with.

Once on the lid it can look green, brown, silver... basically whatever you want.

It's magical for real
