My Favorite Look: Green

Green with Envy
Going Green
It's Not Easy Being Green

Did you catch the common theme?

So I know that green isn't always an easy look to pull off but it's definitely worth the try.

This is a picture of my favorite green look of all time

If I had to pick one inspiration I would have to be Oscar the Grouch (my favorite sesame
street character of course)

I love playing around with colors especially greens
- which of course my mom hates because she says it makes my blue eyes look green (no offense all you green-eyed beauties out there)
I can't help it, though, because whenever I go to do my makeup I automatically
reach for my green palette.

Here's what I used (MAC unless noted otherwise):

eyes:
kelly green pigment
Coastal Scents 88 palette
juxt
carbon
scant

face:
studio sculpt NW20
MSFN light medium
fun & games bpb

lips:
shy girl l/s
partial to pink l/g

If you want check out the tutorial click here.

Ladies what colors do you find harder to pull off then others?

Until next time

FOTD & NOTD

So this is my absolute  favorite look to do when I have somewhere fancy to go (which i don't  but it's still perfect for an everyday look). It literally goes with everything and looks so elegant. If you apply the eyeliner a little bit heavier it's perfect for a night out.

For my eyes I applied:
MAC Classic White  (A cream color with a shimmer) eyeshadow all over my lid.

Next is took MAC Star Violet (Pinky-brown plum) and swiped it into my crease

Then I added a tiny bit of MAC Beauty Marked (black red) to my outer V and blended it well with Star Violet

Finally I lightened it up with MAC Yogurt (extremely light pink) right under my eyebrow

On my face I used:
MAC Perfect Topping MSF
MAC Intenso Blush
MAC Bubbles Lipstick
MAC Oyster Girl Lipgloss

So for my NOTD <3

OPI's Miami Beet

Such a beautiful Deep Red that's still appropriate for summer

So that's my look for today
Until next time

How My Love For Makeup Grew

My first distinct memory involving makeup dates all the way back to when I was 6 or 7 when I pulled out a tube of my mom's lipstick and quickly slicked it across my lips as easily as chapstick. My family was amazed at how well a kid could apply lipstick and without the aid of a mirror. At the time I never knew my love for makeup would grow, but here I am, over a decade later, still applying lipstick everyday.

My real love of makeup began last summer when my sister got married. It was a destination wedding in Aruba so I made the decision to do my own makeup. So of course my mom, my sisters, and I made out way over to our local MAC counter for makeovers. This was the day I learned to use more than one color eyeshadow on my eyes- it was a complete epiphany!

I needed to continue learning so I turned to my most reliable source, YouTube. This was where I discovered Xsparkage's tutorial on how to achieve the perfect red lip and the rest is history.

One year later and here I am starting my own beauty blog. I hope to have fun doing this as well learn a ton tips from fellow bloggers. This probably won't be an easy task but I can't wait to really get started with my posts!

So stay tuned everyone!
